starting problem ba xr8 ute

hello, i have a ford ba xr8 boss 260 ute dec 2002 model, for the past few months its had a starting problem, it just wont start, after turning the ign. off and on 5 million times it some times decides to start, it doesnt blow smoke when it starts, i pulled the coil packs out and check for spark while cranking, nothing, so i replaced the crank angle sensor, car ran fine for 2 days, and is now back to normally not starting, also some times while driving along the car will just switch off for no reason, then wont start again, this is starting to really piss me off, if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated??

Re: starting problem ba xr8 ute

the problem with the ford dealerships is that there are more apprentices working in there than people that know what they are doing. good experience goes a long way.

Re: starting problem ba xr8 ute

so was anything sorted out?

I had a few probs last year with mine not wanting to crank over sometimes... luckily for me my tuner knew what the prob was by listening to it. all fixed now.

Had that problem with a AU 6 cylinder turned out to be the fuel pump .
Use to pull the key out put it back in try again it would start then stop , then run OK for awhile then just STOP . Worth a look at anyway. Cheers Ken
