Hello all, does any one have any info on getting the storage bins behind the seats in the ute. Are they a useful bit of kit or are they useless. My local dealer wants $350 for them which i find very steep for a molded plastic box but to me it is a wasted space behind the seats and pisses me off having stuff floating about. Does any one know if anyone makes after market storage boxes and if so where from and of course how much. What are peoples thoughts?

Go to your local fruit shop, and get a few empty mandarin or tomato boxes.
That does the job perfect.
Ive got two mandarin boxes behind there and it holds all bits and pieces.
Its a Cheap option and when you want to clean that area of the car, easy to remove.It might not look all that good, but thats $350 you can spend on mods:)

I had a mate of mine who does a bit of plastic welding, make up a box to fit behind the drivers seat. No lid but it does the job. I just keep Fire Extinguisher, Towels, Water,torch etc behind there

I have one in my ute, and also had one in my old ute. This time when i ordered my new ute, i screwed them and told the dealer i wanted one for nothing or it was no deal. Its a handy thing to have for storing cameras and torches etc.....Dont know if i would pay $350 for one now though !

I can highly recommend a Blueys stainless tub. Not that expensive from memory.
