Which Ute?

Hey All,

Im looking at getting a ute.

The reason;

- To transport dirtbike(s), furniture etc

However, I'm not looking for a work-horse, it will be used mainly as a daily driver.

I would like something confortable inside, it must have a manual trans and power steering.

Im looking at spending sub $14 grand.

Ive always had sports cars and was considering; XM Ute + EFI V8 or Turbo 6. So a ute with potential for BIG HP would be a good start. Although Im buying a house and $$$$ are an issue atm.

So anyway, lets hear some suggestions

Re: Which Ute?

Something on LPG... Especially if $$$ are important. I'd buy something for 2-4k on gas, and save as much as possible for the house. If you need to personalise it, you also have some $$$ left over.

Re: Which Ute?

Thanks for the feedback EBXR. But wouldnt a gas bottle fill the tray? More like a 5th of the tray - But tray space is important to me.

Re: Which Ute?

LPG can go either where the petrol tank is, or where the spare wheel is. The tank in the tray is for those who don't need a ute.
I've had an XR400 in the back of my ute, plus all the camping gear, spare wheel, and still had a fair bit of space left over.
