I drove the turbo first, and while they are an excellent car how can you go past a V8. Even if the V8 was 20kw's less, i'de still have it. Part of my culture i guess.

If you want the sound and the bulge and a whole lot more lean on the outside tyre when cornering , buy the V8. If you are after straight line speed and better turn in when conering, buy the turbo. If you want to nail V8's allday everyday at the lights, buy a turbo and spend less than $1600. The bottom line is that we are all different and we all enjoy our toys. I would buy a turbo over a V8 all day but there again I don't have to buy either. I just like driving them

for what it is worth my xr ute is the first v8 i've owned, i used to think that 8's were over rated but not any more ,the noise and the feel through the car are addictive 'specially after comming from an xh longreach, ill be happier though if the xr can take half the hiding the xh took
