AP just can't go back to a sedan anymore. A recent trip to Lue in NSW for a weekend of dirt bike fun and action!

If that was the case, AP would be driving a bimmer or merc, if I'm not mistaken?
Well, you are mistaken then!

Well, to answer the question -
(1) Balance
(2) Handling
(3) Lower weight (in AU/BA guise)
(4) To allow higher spec interior options to be fitted
... the list goes on...
By all means, if you need to cart gear around that won't fit in a sedan, or is too dirty/messy/whatever, then the ute is the natural choice. However, the sedan will always be the choice out of the two for the driver!

Clicky clicky here for previous ride! I still miss her!
It's so unfair lol, I wish I had a Pursuit ute with a Huskvarna (or any dirt bike, preferebly a YZ250F ) on the back....you LUCKY BASTARD AP!!!.
I would love a ute, but I sometimes have to carry people around so it blows that idea.
There's two things that will expose you to the evils of having too many parasitic friends: owning a ute, and owning a trailer. I did it smart:
1. Buy a ute in a V8 manual (most people these days can't drive the manual and when they hear the V8 bit added to the manual choose to look elsewhere when moving house)
2. Ditto the trailer. I bought a 9x5 tandem with extended drawbar. Most of them turn up and think it's too big.
Moral of the story? AP doesn't have to lend stuff out much!!!!!
Oh, the bike is of course a KTM 520EXC - damn what a blast!
