Why don't we see more done up tray top AU utes getting around? The back unbolts off the ordinary utes doesn't it, it would be easy to replace with schmick tray. Mmmmm...XR8 tray top, yum!

Traytops can look good just like what they used to do to the Holdens like using jarrah or timber or polished aluminium.

Last time I checked you could get any kind of rear on the ute you liked basically. Have seen many XLS V8's getting around with the polished timber trays.. Looks sweet IMO..

Yep, I am seeing quite a few XR8/6's that have the table top around my area. I'm a bit peeved I didn't ask for one as then I'd only have to worry about the cab getting scratched.

My dogs have only been on the XR8 once.....Lucky I have the old XF sw to give them a drive every now and then.

You can order the AU Ute without the tray, and Ford will give a $500-1000?(can't remember) contribution towards a custom 'tray'. At least that's how it used to work. I saw one a while ago, and damn they look grrrreat!:s6:
