Where the hell are all the old X series utes, all I seem to find in this forum is
AU's and BA's lately, surely the old girls aint that rare these days

by 'old' X series what do you refer to? XPs and such or XDs and such?

All of them I think! There are heaps around but certainly a lot of AU utes (& now BAs), you don't see utes earlier than XF that often though (or for that matter sedans!). I would say there are two reasons: 1 they are 20 years old now and 2 unleaded petrol.

A lot of xw/xy are stashed away in the back corners of sheds waiting for money for restoration.

Love to give my XB a resto. As you said you dont see many around. Mines not in perfect condition (cracking bog etc) but it gets looks because you dont see them on the road. As for the unleaded fuel thing, drop a later model motor in :) I did and she flys.
