im only 16 so i dont know much but i love ford utes. i was just woundering is it much work to get a 351 into an xd or xf ute. like you dont have to do welding and get enginners reports etc? also if anyone knows. roughly how much is gana cost for an xd or xf ute in good condition but doesnt need motor or gearbox?

if you get an xd or an xe then it is dead simple to put the v8 in. Will bolt straight in.

An xf will be harder due to the failure of selling em with a v8.. damn ford

If you really like the XF , just bolt the XF front panels to the XD or XE .
No engineers report needed that way . Try for as late a model as possible
as a lot of XD/E/F 's are well rusted in the sills and rear qtrs by now .
A ute in reasonable condition will run you anywhere from $3k up , but there
may be bargains out there ! .

my mate picked up an xe lowered, with mags, 302c, extractors and full exhaust for $1100. only prob with it was it was to low to take over the pits to transfer to his name and and the tailgate was dented

yeh i relise they get alot of rust. i have a perfectly good xf in the paddock. or it was untill we wer told the gas wasnt roadworhty so my dad jsu tleft it there and now about 11 years latter it sits there mechanically sound with a totally rusted and stuffed body beyond repair.
