Yes it will go on, but will interfere with the spare wheel compartment (the XH spare is held up by a winch), and it will depend on your towbar whether it will cause a problem. There is a cut-out for the towbar in the XH bar.
From memory the spare wheel fits on the right of the fuel tank under removable panel, cut panel in half and screw tank side down and hinge the spare wheel side. But it's a pain in the butt to get to if you have the back loaded.

i have the xh bar on my ute, looks much better.
as for the spare wheel compartment, just drilled out the welds and took it all off, now you can see the diff if you get low enough.
im not sure where to put the spare wheel, but it will either be hinged as was mentioned before, or i will get the complete xh-style winch mechanism.
funny that, every one tells me to put the XH bar on my XG but i don't like 'em, my gas tank is sitting on that removable tray so it aint removable any more anyway.
XH rear bars look so much better. I also did the proper spare wheel underneath setup - took ages to find the proper XH jack handle to wind it up and down. I went with the one without the exhaust cutout so I can run the dual exhaust
