XR8 Ute $$$

I was just looking on the Falcon ute configure & price page & the XR8 is now avaliable to be configured.

It states the rrp. for a std XR8 5spd ute as being $40,925.

Now if that hasn't got Holden & HSV shaking in their boots, then nothing will.

Who would want to pay another 10k just to get a simillularly powered Marloo ute ???

I just hope Ford can build enought of them as with 260kw's for just under 41k it has to be the cheepest high performance vehicle avaliable in the country.
cheers.

Yup your correct on that price.
Cost $41,034 for mine but thats on road with a few extras.
Basic cost=$35300 for the xls v8, the XR8 will end up costing a bit more than $41K on road ins/delivery/reg
Only if I'd known back 2 1/2 months ago...too late!

Plus I've brought a ute coz I need to carry shit!

LOL

I am facing this same problem now. Why option up an XLS ute with air-con, LSD, V8 etc and pay close to $40,000 when an XR8 ute is not much more?

Just need a bit more cash. Anybody got a lazy 2 grand they want to give me?

I maybe wrong about this but you couldn't order a car at that price now could you? With the price rise and all looming it will be another grand or so but it still a bloody cheap 260kw.

What are the insurance costs of the XR8 utes however, will they get slugged much heavier than the XR6Ts?

PS my jaw dropped when I heard that price from a salesman yesterday, I was all set to buy a XR6T sedan but you will be able to get an XR8 ute on the road a few grand cheaper and have that BOSS V8. The other thing I couldn't believe was that the fuel consumption is rated at 12.5 while isn't the 220kw V8 13.5?
