Hi folks
Just looking for some advice in replacing the solid rear brake pipes on a 1999 Fiesta 1.4 petrol.

i have got the pipes made up OK - is it a difficult job to do? there seems to be various heat shields around the exhaust which cover the brake pipes - are these difficult to remove?

Also how far do the brake pipes go forward in the car?

If , as you say , you have pipes made up , you should be able to see how far they go ? Can you not pass the pipes behind heatshields ? Cant remember on that car , but sometimes there is a joint in the line which can save replacing full length of pipe . You got to make sure you have correct ends / flares on new pipes . Also can get probs . where pipes meet flexible hoses due to corrosion . Got to make sure bleeder valves are not seized or blocked before bleeding system and try not to let master cyl. get empty of fluid .If not 100% sure / confident , best left to the garage as you cant take a chance with brakes .
