44 error code

Hi, I own a 1/94 Fiesta and for the first time I made a KOEO and KOER test
in it.


I am not sure the KOER test was made the correct way, but it has give me
some error codes. (KOEO gave me systems ok)

I think this is better explained if I paste here an already written message I have:

...anyway, just to say I subscribed again, I am from Portugal, proud two year user of a 1.1 MK3.5 with about 77000km, nice body condition. Engine seems fine, I am not sure if it is at 100%.

I make daily short journeys (5kms) in the city, fuel consumption is about 8ltr/100Km.

The only problems I can see is a lot of smudge in oil filler cap (short journeys) and some tendency to put dirty oil in air filter box and inlet air temp sensor.

Also spark plugs seems to carbon a lot.
Had to clean them every 6 months (running rich ?) or it starts stalling easily.

Oil gets dirty fast (running rich ?, city use ? engine wear ? there is no blue smoke, and it passes MOT without emission problems).

For the first time I managed to run ECU tests by myself :).

I've got everything OK for KOEO test, but in KOER (engine running test -wich I am not sure I made well) I got 44 code (Air Injection Reaction system inoperative).

(I also got a 6 in end of test, wich does not repeat, so assuming its not a fault code)

As the 1.1 HCS doesn't have pulse air system (to the extent I know of) found in 1.3 HCS, what can this be ? Some problem with canister solenoid ?
Does it have some other mean of Air Injection ? How can I check it ?

Can this be related to carbon in plugs, oil dirty ?
