The All-new Ford Fiesta Van

A 25-year loving relationship between Ford Fiesta and the British public is to result in the arrival of the new Fiesta Van. Ford has issued the first images of the new Van today. The line drawing/computer image is an indication of things to come as the new Fiesta van is due to hit UK roads in Winter 2003.

"The Fiesta brand is held in great esteem in the UK. Since its inception 25 years ago we have sold more than 9 4,000 (???? that's the '80-'01 figure) 100,000 Fiesta Vans. We know that many UK businesses and fleets will welcome the news that a Fiesta Van is on its way," said Steve Parker, director of commercial vehicles, Ford of Britain.

"The light van sector is an amazingly competitive one and Fiesta Van will sit well in the Ford range to offer sole operators and fleets the opportunity to choose one or more Ford commercial vehicles to meet all their needs.

"Being built on the base of the highly successful new Fiesta car means that the van model inherits great driving dynamics and styling. In all, it will represent a good low-cost of ownership proposition for UK businesses," he concluded.

Ford's Ka Van is already competing well in the car-derived van sector and . This model has proved very successful popular, particularly with BT Fleet, for fleets and businesses looking for its around-town agility, complete driver comfort and a highly useable load area. Since it's introduction a last year …… ????1100 Ka Vans have been sold.

"Fiesta Van is an important part of our fleet and we welcome a new edition to widen our vehicle portfolio," said Peter Howard, Head of Fleet Supply, BT Fleet.

Potential customers will be able to learn more about the new Fiesta van this summer when more details on specifications and a photo of the production vehicle will be available.
