Question Anti Roll Bars

Hello All,

Can anyone tell me what these are? I think they are part of the suspension? A mechanic mentioned that I need the rubbers replaced. Is this a big job?

Cheers!

Anti-roll bars or sway bars link each side of the suspension to the other. This prevents excessive body roll when cornering.
They have various set-ups depending on the vehicle. Some attach at each end with small link bars while others bolt directly on to the control arms. Either way, replacing the bushes is a relatively easy job if you're handy with the spanners.
Just be aware that on some vehicles, changing the bushes may alter the wheel alignment so it would pay to get it checked after the work.
Cheers, from Mal.
