I have a Fiesta Zetec with a 4500RDS E.O.N CD Player.
Someone (not my good self) attempted to load a CD into the tray when there was already a CD in it.
As a result (I suppose) the player no longer successfully ejects the CD (although it will play it after a few attempts).
Is there a way to either
1) manually eject the CD (you can do this on the computer after all) or
2) remove the CD player and proceed from there?

I have loosened the 2 screws at the bottom of the facia below the CD player but this doesn't release the area to allow me to get at and extract the CD player.
I don't want to operate inexpertly and end up damaging the appearance but I don't want to pay the garage for what must surely(?) be a simple job.
Anyone had to do this themselves?
