Changing doorhandles

I just got some Ghia silver doorhandles for the Fiesta today, and the spare parts guy scared me a little with this sinister laugh when I told him I'll be doing it myself.

Has anyone done this yet? Anything to look out for?

Re: Changing doorhandles

lol !!!
yeah.... get ready to die
nahh heheh i duno mate.. id be careful. you will probably have to take the door trims off cuz there will be a wire or something ull have to hold whilst u put new handle in and then connect them together. id say itd be easier to just check it all out first, if you think it can be done get a mate to help u with it, if not then dont touch it haha. take it somewhere to be done.. :)

good luck. let us know how it goes

Re: Changing doorhandles

sorry... did u mean the handles on outside of car... or inside. :| from ur latest post im guessing inside. ehm yeah thatd be easy
cant imagine itd take more than 10 minutes for each door. only think that pisses me off about taking trims off is that the plastic clips always snap

Re: Changing doorhandles

Done! Courtesy of a mate who works at a Ford dealership. It's the first Fiesta that's had the doortrims coming off over there. Didn't cost me anything either.

Next project: Focus wheels!
