Checking out Fiesta - what to look for..

I will be checking out a 97 Fiesta tomorrow with a view to buying it. Any tips on stuff to check (and how to check it) for someone of limited mechanical knowledge?

Im actually going to buy a 97 festiva tommorow that i viewed
i also admit to having limited knownadge but some things to look out for are how straight the body is (for signs of a crash) go through the instrument panel, ie: lights, indicators and other accessories... check the condition of oil and for any leaks(with white paper under the sump), if the oil is black then there might be a damaged component in the engine, coolant and other fluid levels, listen for any noise what so ever on revs and idle, check for worn belts and/or pulleys, check the fuel and air elements and filters, on the drive if you notice any clunks or bumps espesh the rear springs...hope that helps and as for a fix i'd consider with the car im going to buy new shock absorbers or a set of better tyres or wheels and new air element, fuel filter, Wiper blades, smelly thing, oil filter, fuel pumps, Spark plugs and leads, dash mat, head light protectors or in other words a regular service with some fancy aditions...oh and im going to chuck in my a horn from my old fairmont that sounds like a truck!

well hope that helps if anything :)
