Code input silly question

Hi all,

This may appear stupid at 1st but give a mo. The wife owns a fiesta with a 3000 traffic radio cassette player, I know the code & have the instructions but because the LCD is broken I'm struggling to enter the no's.

If you help, what i need to know is:

How many times to press the (for example) 1 button for the 1st no if it was a 5.....don't forget I can't see the screen. The manual just says press the buttons in sequence (1 through to 4, for each code no) until you reach the desired no, but I can't see what it starts at, in fact I can't even tell if the radio is on or off!

Anyway if anyone can help my code is 2092

Thanks in advance
