Diagnostic socket location.
Hi, I am trying to find where to plug in my fault code reader. I have a Fiesta 1.1 classic, '96 N reg. There is a 3 pin plug behind the battery which fits my FCR but does nothing.
Checking the Haynes manual I find that the wiring to this socket is for the Octane adjust or Idle adjust. The wires are coloured Bn/y, Bn/r and Bn/B.
Metering them through to the EEC-IV socket they go to pins 3, 23 and 24.
There are wires connected to pins 17 and 48(the diagnostic socket connections) which are Bn/Gn and B/Gn, but these seem to go into the loom going across the bulkhead towards the other side of the engine bay.
Any help is much appreciated.
