i have got a problem with my fiesta 2004, the window is slipping and the electric motor isnt making the window go up or down. its making a crashing dieing wining sound when pressing the electric window switch also like the motor is knackered.

I took the main panel interior trim off to reveal the motor, i took this out of the white window mechanism and tried the motor. The motor seemed fine when not tring to put the window up or down ! So i put it back in the mechanism and its makes a crackling sound and doesnt work, sound like there is some sort of clip broke and a bit of plastic is whizz around clogging up the mechanism!

Any I tried to investigate further but i cant remove the black plastic inner door panel the membrane which has a type of gasket type seal behind it that fixes on the door metal if you know what i mean?

I removed the several gold bolts around the edges of the plastic membrane and i can pull it slightly off the metal, but its seems stuck in the middle like some thing else is attached and needs unbolting but i cant see what ?

any help on this inner membrane removal and the problem with mechanism ?
