Hi, I have a 1995 fiesta azura 1119cc petrol. All through the summer it's fine but as soon as autumn starts water condensation seems to get into the oil (not a head gasket problem) and an emulsion builds up round the filler cap and breather pipe. This has to be cleared regularly or it reaches the air filter and carb and water can get into the carb then it's no go! The air filter intake is set to winter setting. Does anyone know how to fix this as it's a pain to have to keep cleaning out the hoses etc. Thanks, Col.

This is normal on this engine especially on short journeys in the winter where the water build-up in the engine doesn't get a chance to 'burn off'. I'd make sure the engine's getting up to full temp. and switch to semi or fully-synthetic engine oil.
