Wondering what your fiesta's idle revs are. My Fiesta idle revs are around 800rpm with the a/c off and about 1050 with the a/c on. Thats after the car has had a chance to warm up - say 20mins+
I'm thinking it's a little high.
Not only but it is a little rough as well - regardless of the a/c being on or not.
I'm sure it's no biggy and if need be it'll get sorted when it goes in for it's free 3000km checkup/service.

i think thats fairly normal, mine does the same
get your software reloaded at 3000 km service

thats the only hassle i think ill have with servicing, i dont want ford to service my car from now on because there a bunch of idiots (at least at my dealership they are)
but everytime i get it serviced i think ill get the software reloaded because i guess it might be prone to failure because it already has with me...
do you think if from now on i get it serviced at ultra tune ill be able to still take it back to ford whenever i want to get its software reloaded? or will it cost me everytime i want to get it reloaded???? :S

not sure - updating the software is essentially the main part of a service, that and replacing consumables like oils, pads, filters, coolant etc.
So it may cost a level 1 service at least. Having said that if ultra tune can service your car to satisfy Fords warranty requirements then I'd say they would also have the software and equipment necessary to upload it. I would think Ford would have access to the software releases as and when they are released - perhaps slight variants which address certain issues they may be seeing the symptoms for. Other mechanics like ultra tune may have the latest release (a little after ford) and 1 or two old versions just in case.
Of course that's all a guess :) Ask one of the mechanics ultra tune next your over there.

i had never considered the software side of things with ultratune. how bout we all get unichips and be done with it
