My Daughter has a Fiesta 1.8D Classic - a really clean car with low mileage(32000 m) but is struggling with the steering as it does not have PAS. The car is too good to sell so I would like to fit Power Assisted Steering to it if feasible. Anyone done this????
Or do I need to tell her to go on a high protein diet and weight training?
Any help/info appreciated.

Couple of things worth checking, firstly tyre pressures when low will give heavy steering, set them about 32 psi or 2.1 bar, second the steering couplings sieze up on this model, they need to be off to check properly, part is about £20 UK.
