Hi can you help.

I have the orange engine warning light on and the engine seems a bit jumpy and is making a bit of noise.

Couldf this be the exaust, from what I can see under the car there is no reason to suspect this but just a guess. There appears to be more smoke coming from the exaust.

Does the engine light come on if there is an exaust problem?

Sorry one more thing if it's the exaust and I replace it a a non FGord dealer, will the engine warning light automatically go off or will it need a re-set?

might be hego sensor failed! get faults read first! pulling the battery for ten mins and reconnecting will reset light, but dont do this till codes have been read as they will be lost!
