got a 1999 fiesta 1.25 ztecs

it seems to stutter when the foot is on the gas. the exhaust rattels and the whole car shakes when accelerating.
just took it to get the exhuast checked but the garrage said there where no wholes and it was all fine,

Any ideas why it is doing this??

Had an ask arround at work and a few people said it might be the coil,

Does this sound about right to anyone?

is there anyway to check it before getting a new one??

If you mean the coil pack yes I've seen many of these go faulty, but you also need to trace the cause which most times sees the plugs and leads also getting binned.
