confused Fiesta Mk6 Front Panel

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone out there have any experience changing the front panel of a mk6 fiesta, i managed to hit my garage pillar and snap the front panel . The bumper is a little scratched but the brackets are fine & the reinforcement bar is also ok!

i went to the ford dealer and they are going to charge me £400 to replace the front panel and a few other things which i don’t think need doing (i.e. the bumper) .

I have purchased a new front panel for £110 and was going to give it a go myself!

Has anyone tried and succeeded!

Any help would be great

Cheers

frown Re: Fiesta Mk6 Front Panel

Hi i am in the process of rebuilding a MK6 fiesta and had to remove the front panel.

Its quite an easy process just a few bolts etc. to undo

headlights have to be taken off and radiator removed etc just be careful when removing the parts as they can be costly to replace.

They are really the only main compenents that are placed on the front panel. As mine was accident damaged i have had to remove the old panel and replace it with a new one. As the radiator is at the front i needed a new one

Smile Re: Fiesta Mk6 Front Panel

Thanks a million...

I finally got it done, with no problems!

The only thing was the sensor in the top of the front panel!

What sensor is this? its in front of the bonnet clasp... my one doesn't look too healthly!

Cheers...

Re: Fiesta Mk6 Front Panel

I am not too sure without having another look at mine.

I think that it is more then likely to be something to do with the bonnet.

Ill have another look tomorrow im glad you were successful in changing it. Wish someone could solve my problem of removing the god damn airbags, another night passes without any progress :(

Sounds like the crash sensor, if it looks dodgy get it changed.
