1) You need to carefully remove the large trim that would be next to your right foot if you were sitting in the passenger seat (two clips at the ‘thick end’ and one crappy plastic screw at the ‘thin end’.
2) Remove the cover from the end of the filter which is two or three (I can’t quite remember) screws.
Replacement is reversal of fitting. But make sure that you put the filter in the correct way for the air flow (should be arrowed) otherwise the air will not pass through it correctly! Also many reports of wet passenger footwells from wrongly installed filters so make sure it is all good and you get the cover back on properly.
Hi, I haven't been able to locate the panel in the passenger footwell that you mention but I wonder if we are looking at the same car as I notice that the photo with your post is the new shape Fiesta but mine is the old shape. Any suggestions? Cheers.
