Hey,

General question really, i own a ford ka 1.3i

everytime i go to change gear by rights the revs so go down but there stayin up really high, how do i clean my ignition switch??

or is there anything else that this could possibly be?

Nothing to do with the ignition switch. Look for a vacuum leaks (loose hose in engine bay or failed inlet manifold gasket). You might hear an air sucking noise in the engine bay as well.

Also check the air idle speed control valve is connected and working correctly.

1.3 engines are prone to do that due to TPS and wiring issues. Check out this thread to see if it helps you out with your problems.
Problem with my fiesta mk4 (stalls and nearly stalls etc)
