I recently bought a 53 plate Ford Ka Sport but within 24 hours of collection the engine warning light came on.
The garage I bought the car from said I couldn't take it to ford as the labour would be to high so i needed to take it to a local independant garage and have it fixed there, they would then pay for it.
So today I took it to local garage they said after linking it to computer there was nothing wrong with it and the light had gone out. Id barely driven a mile when it came back on again so back I went and this time they said it was possible oxygen sensor (??) problem but they couldn't be sure and I needed to take it to an electrical specalist.
Im not sure what to do now ? I want to take it Ford but the garage I bought it from is saying find another local garage or bring it back to them (over 25 miles away) and then they will take it to their local garage which basically means even more inconvienince to me !!
Do you think I should just take it to Ford and pay for it myself ?
Most likely needs TSB 67/06 carrying out (new hego and calibration update), might be just as well going to Ford and seeing if they can do any goodwill, seeing as it's a known concern and only just out of warranty (I surmise).
