Hi,
The driver's door on my Ka won't open either by the central locking or manually, there was no warning, just working fine one minute then dead as a dodo the next. The passenger side is fine. Any advice on what the problem is and how I can rectify? Any help gratefully received, thanks

If you try and open it from inside the car, what happens? I'm guessing that the handle just springs right back to the locked position. If so, I would imagine that the lock catch has failed or become disconnected. If so, it is probably very difficult to do anything about it, as to repair it, you probably need the door open to get the trim off!

It may be a case of sacrifcing your door panel - I recommend purchasing a haynes manual.
