Hello,

I really hope someone can help. We have bought a 2nd hand 1996 Ford Fiesta Flair, 1.3, Petrol - it is perfect. But ... We cannot lock the back doors.

There is no button to press down on the topside of hte door alongside the widow, like in other cars. Nor is there a keyhole in the door on the outside. Nor is there any visible button or lever that could close the door.

Unfortunately, it is Halloween and the garage that sold us the car is closed til 2nd Nov. I will be eternally grateful for any advice - no matter unsure you are of it. I will try anything

Have you tried pushing the door handle inwards?

Pieoter, thank you so very much. Yes it works.

I just pushed them in and closed the doors and they locked. I've never owned a Ford before and the manual is in German, so I couldn't figure it out.

I had to leave the car parked in the street all night with the doors unlocked. I don't know if that shows that we have a low crime rate in this part of Brussels (Belgium) or if we were just lucky. Probably the latter. But thanks a million.
