how to drain coolant to replace heater valve - Ford Forums

hi im new on here,my girlfriend as a mk5 fiesta 1.2 zetec the heater as stopped blowing warm air but the motor is working and there is warm water going to the valve it just aint letting the warm air through! i have bought a new heater valve but the problem is now how do i get the coolant out of the system to chnge the valve!

No need to fully drain the system, just remove the expansion cap to release any pressure, refit to prevent excess spillage, do the job with the engine cold, and you will only lose a small amount of coolant.

thnks mate got it done!all working now the girlfriends mum as a puma and that as no heat either the valve as been changed so it not that hot water is running through the same but no heat???
