Hello all, brand new to the forums and got a quick question. Just bought a new mk6 fiesta with the facelift so its got the new type stereo in it. Ive also bought the radio keys and he proper ford aux cable install kit, but how easy is this to do. Is there a tutorial anywhere or just a few tips you guys can give me to get it done asap. Just waiting for it all to come through in the post. Should be here tommorow or wednesday. Thanks for reading.

got it all installed but when i connect a 3.5mm cable to the socket and my mp3 i get a really quiet tinny version of the song playin with some sounds missing like weak vocals and drums etc. I have to have the cable hanging half way out. Anyone know why this is or what i can do.

ye its a proper official genuwine part bought straight from ford, its ment to be install next to the gearstick you drill the holes yourself and push it in and it clicks into place.

Sounds like a faulty one, had a similar problem on another socket.

i got mine from allen ford on ebay, but you can get it from ford parts 2. There ya go mate ryt at the bottom FordPartsUK - Parts Shop

Thanks mate. I managed to source one from a local Ford dealership, although its twice the price!
