Hi There

A couple of weeks ago i put more air in my tyres as they were very low, i followed what was in the Haynes Manual.

Anyway since then, when i brake to slow down i can hear a squeeky noise from the front of the car? Is this because of the tyre pressures or the brake. Its only happened since i put more air in the tyres. Strange!!!

hey claire, the fact that this noise only happened after you have just put more air in the tyres is purely coincidental, it's going to more likely be due the worn down, brake pads, or discs, you can check the pads by removing the tyre and looking at the thickness of the pad itself, it will be pretty obvious if it's the pad and they're only about £10 a pair if you look around, if the pads are ok then you'll need an impact socket set, to check the brake discs, but it's better and ALOT easier for you to just take it to a garage and pay 10 quid for them to replace the old ones, you can get decent brake discs for about a cool 25 a pair, hope this fixes the prob..
