Hi all , i have just sold my daughters Ka. The people who i sold it to phoned me back after an hour or so to say the heater was only blowing cold. After reading the posts here it seems to me if the problem is the heater control valve, fan works in all speeds and pipes getting hot but matrix is cold,according to them. Can anyone tell me how involved it is to replace the control valve, also as a matter of interest is this electrically operated. Any help would be appreciated as i am feeling a bit guilty. cockneyjohn

'Caveat emptor' or 'buyer beware' is a well-known phrase that applies here, in other words it's up to the purchaser to check these things; unless you're a dealer you're really under no obligation to repair the car- how long will they keep coming back expecting you to fork out? The most I'd do is meet them half-way, maybe you buy the valve and they can get it fitted, and that is the final transaction on the deal.
