Ok, let's see if anyone can help with this one. (The other was a complete bust.)

Again, this is for a 1.6L, 8-valve, gasoline Zetec RoCam... on a 2001 Ford Ka.

It doesn't come with a MAF sensor... I want to see if it's possible to add an aftermarket MAF sensor and hook it up to the ECU in order to optimize the air+gas mix.

Anyone have any thoughts or info on this?

This engine as you say doesn't have a MAF, instead it's fitted with a T-Map sensor, this is a combined inlet manifold pressure/temperature sensor which does the job of major control of the fuelling. Any tampering in this area will throw the whole system as both readings are necessary for the PCM, DTCs will be set and the MIL illuminated if either readings are corrupt/ missing.
