MK6 Engine noise - Ford Forums

Hi everyone, new member and first post :)

I have a quick question regarding the MK6 1.4 fiesta. I went to look at one today with a view to buy it (UK 56 plate). I raised an issue with the owner regarding a sorta high pitched noise from the engine when accelerating, he said it was the 2nd fiesta he has had and it is nothing unusual and just a feature of the fiesta's??

My question is whether this is true or not? The car is only 9 months old so still has over 2 years ford warrenty left, i just want to know up front whether this is right.

hi forgot to mention it is a petrol.
