cool Momo

if theres one thing ive learnt recently, its that momo is yu yu yu yu yummmy.
Finally bought the momo black leather gear boot to go with my new momo gear nob!!!
installed it today, took 20 mins to put in, theres a bit of dicking around actualy because of the plastic mounting bracket ( that big circle thing )
but i got it on and it looks SMICK, only problem is that the stick itself is too long, going to take it all off tommorow and hacksaw the stick down maybe 4-6 cm.
Looks HEAPS better than the weird rubber space nugget gear boot and nob setup that comes as standard.
if anyone wants to see a pic ill take one in a couple days once its chopped down

Re: Momo

well i had a better look at it today, probably best off with an angle grinder, bit mesy gota put heaps of towels everywhere so that i dont get bits of metal flying all over the car.
I had planned to cut the stick and leave a little thread on there so that i can put the stocko back on if i ever need to.
How much cm thread do u guys suggest i leave on?

Re: Momo

I've done this whole process on my Focus... including pictures, i'll find the thread. I left half the thread on there so I can always put the stock one back on if needed. I just used a hacksaw, the metal is pretty soft.

The thread is here:

i can vouch for this too. The metal is quite soft. In fact just screwing on the little screws that come with an aftermarket knob put a hole in my gear stick.
