well first i could probably use some manufacturer's specs on a stock fiesta of those years, like engine type (i think i know its a 1.6L), transmission type, gearing setup, etc....just so i get the basic ideas of what the car is made of. i know it sounds silly, im a import/sports compact guy (mainly ford probes), i know very little about domestics/hot rods, let alone old school stuff like this. i just know that theres a guy who i was going to have work on my probe a few yeras back, he owns the same fiesta but its fully race-prepped for autocrossing....he did stuff like 4 wheel disc conversion, rollcage etc.... now im def. not getting hardcore like that, but i wouldnt mind being about to restore this car (it runs OK, but def. needs work). heck if possible, get this car a bit faster than normal, since its small and light, and maybe it could surprise a few bystanders on the streets. i was told that people have dropped in the SHO engine in fiestas etc....so basically what performance stuff is there for this lil thing :) i just hate to see the car go to waste, its been around here with us for over 10 yrs, and i learned how to drive a stick with it, i just rather take it from my folks than having them just give it away. just need to know before i get my feet wet.....thanks for ur help
