You just wrap a piece of thin wire/string around the cable and pull it towards the passenger side of the car as you push the dash panel back onto it. The string/wire straightens the cable, so it slots straight into the dash housing. You just pull one end of the wire/string then and it unfurls around the control cable, hey presto, 2mins tops!
