hi guys , just joined the site , been having trouble with my wifes ka taken it to a garage they said it needs a new ecu dew to water penitration has anyone als had this problem.

Yes, not sure but this may have been part of a field service action or recall. How old is the car?

hi fordtech, its a 53 plate only done about 3k just over 3years old september

Take it to your nearest Ford dealer and see what they can do for you, you'd need full service history and it's better if you've owned it from new.

hi again, she has taken it to dixon ford and they say because it is just out of waranty it wil cost her £800,not to happy mate and yes she has owned it from new.

Get on to Customer Care and tell them the problem is a known concern, also the extremely low mileage and service history if relevant; I know water leaks aren't really covered after the first year though, so don't expect too much. Sorry mate.
