My other half has a Fiesta 1.3 N Reg and its over revving when the accelerator is released.

I have been told there is a good chance it's the potentiometer or tps by a ford mechanic friend but he's not local so cant check it. He can fit it for me but needs to order the part in advance before I travel down.

I was going to get breakdown cover anyway this week but wanted to know if in general this would cover them coming out to the house to run a computer diagnostics check as the car could be seen as dangerous to drive.

What engine is it? If its the endura e it could be the idle aircontrol valve
