Hey people, i own a 2004 fiesta, recently another fiesta owner (peter) in our forum got his car dyno tuned. the guy told peter that its extra $$$ for retuning his ecu.
Is it possible to tweak the standard ecu at all to squeeze a little extra power out of it????
Mitch
Pretty much ever car has a very conservative state of tune from the factory.
The gain differs between cars and the amount of mods on them. But companys like APS (Unichip) and Chiptorque etc etc have products that allow them to tune the factory ecu to optimize the state of tune.
Not sure if the fiesta has a ECU thats been cracked or not (Not my interest) but a phone call to either of the above companys would tell you pricing, availablity and any other particulars you may be interested in finding out...
Aps has a Piggyback called the Unichip and Chiptorque have one called the XEDE
Chiptorque also have chips that they can send to you with a aftermarket tune or have one of these chips custom dyno tuned to suit your car
