The Ford Fiesta ST on display at the Australian International Motor Show showcases a perfect blend of performance, outstanding chassis dynamics and distinctive sports styling.

The spirited new Fiesta ST features a responsive 110kW 2.0L Duratec ST engine and performance chassis tuning, designed to give small-car drivers something to smile about when behind the wheel.

"Fiesta ST is the ideal all-round hot hatch," said Ford Australia Passenger Car Marketing Manager, Kevin Ramsdale.

"It is safe and easy to handle with enough spirited performance from its 2.0L engine to appeal to the keenest driving enthusiast. We are very interested in gauging the level of interest it attracts from visitors to the show."

Fiesta ST � designed to stir the emotions
From its more assertive, free-breathing grille and lower bumper design, to its confident, lower stance and side skirts, Fiesta ST's engaging design clearly distinguishes its performance credentials.

Fiesta ST clearly retains its place in the mainstream Fiesta range. Its unique design elements include new front and rear bumpers, new side and rocker mouldings and colour-keyed details such as body colour door handles, rub strips and exterior mirror caps. Bold 17-inch, 11-spoke alloy wheels and low profile performance tyres visually communicate its handling capabilities.

Inside, the ergonomically designed Fiesta cabin has been given the ST treatment. Unique new front performance seats embroidered in black leather with bold red cloth centre sections and the distinctive new ST logo will support both driver and passenger comfortably during spirited drives. The thick, leather-wrapped steering wheel features a bright steering wheel spoke, while metal pedals help to communicate Fiesta ST's powerful brakes and responsive throttle.

Added brightwork on the handbrake and door pull handles also distinguishes the interior performance look.

Fiesta ST's unique gear lever meets the driver's hand with ergonomic ease, emphasising the care with which Ford has positioned key controls for the utmost driving quality.

"The acknowledged strengths and qualities of the Fiesta interior have been enhanced with distinctive ST touches that set it apart from the rest of the range," said Ramsdale.

"These elements are details the more enthusiastic driver looks for in a sporty car, the 'jewels' that advertise elegantly that you're inside something special."

Fiesta ST will be on display at the Australian International Motor Show from October 7 through to October 17.

Yee haa can't wait to have a drive of one of those babies!!! It's going to be a smoking hot hatch if it comes out here in Oz!!!!!!

If it keeps the extrmely wide body kit the concept had im not gonna be happy. It looks nice from the side, but head on it's not so nice.

Anyone know of price?

Methinks you are thinking of the Blue RS, this is the smaller (narrower that is) Red one which is far more practical!!

I preferred the pics of the ST, one of the most gorgeous solid little hatches I've ever seen and if the idea of a 2.0 engine cranking out 110kw in stock form in a shell stiff as a board weighing just on 1000kg isn't getting you excited then you need to get out more!!!!! That's before adding K&N and exhaust!!!!! Bring on the 120kw monster!!!!!!
