Stock sounds system for mk6

I am thinking of upgrading my mk6 fiesta zetec but before getting work done I was wondering what the stock sound system actually was? In terms of size of speakers, wattage of head unit etc.

Re: Stock sounds system for mk6

Would there be enough space around the mounts to fit in 6.5inch splits without too cutting?

Re: Stock sounds system for mk6

How hard would it be to mount 6.5inch splits? Will they require lots of cutting to fit(cutting of the car not speaker)?

Re: Stock sounds system for mk6

yes they will fit but:
you have to use proper adaptors (plastic plate with a hole to fit the speaker)and nothing thicker that 3-4mm .othewise you will have to cut the mounting plate...
you have to place a spacer of about 6-7 mm between the speaker and the cover. otherwise if you place a good woofer its cone will repeatedly hit the cover.
The door itself is very well built, the bass will be deep (nearly 40Hz if good speaker are selected and a serious amp is installed), especially if you have the 3door version which has larger doors.
