Have a 55 plate Street KA which went into the Ford Dealer near me last week for a service.

It has been driven for about 30 miles since the service and then put into the garage overnight.

This morning when we try and start the car will not open with the fob only with the key, the alarm did not sound. The engine is dead, wont turn over at all. There is constant bleeping which stops when the key is inserted and turned. The car will lock with the key but the locking sound is very laboured and after a short time the bleeping starts again.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the alarm's going off and flattening the battery- make sure the deck lid is closed properly ie open and slam it, recharge the battery and retry.
