Could I ask all of you intellegent people for some advice. I posted before about my wifes ka and it seems to be getting worse not better. Her indoors as being complaining about the acceleration etc. I took it for a little spinto day and it was awful. while accelerating it was really struggling,as if something was holding it back,but if you eased off the accelerator slightly it picked up. However while cruising down a dual carriageway at about 40 I put it into 5th gear but then it losing speed and I had to put it back into 4th.

My thoughts is could it be just the injectors need cleaning or a spark plug has gone down. I'm no mechanic, can just about do the basics so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi thanks for that. Is there something you can buy to clean it or is it a replacement job?

It's just one possibility and no, there's no way of cleaning them. Really the car needs a diagnostic test doing on it to see if there's any codes stored. Could also be the MAF sensor.
