I have a Phantom XR6T, which was recently involved in a serious accident. I'm ok, and the car is fixed now, but its time I got working on some serious visual mods. I've found some great pics on this site which I want to use as a starting point for the end product.
Attached is my car, damaged, a pic of another non-damaged T with my rims, and two pics I found on this site which I really love. I want a unique, tough, look. I want slits/vents on the bonnet, but no XR8 copy and no shaker. The pic of the red car looks great, but it needs more substance in the front bumper area.
If anyone can come up with some ideas for a unique look, in Phantom, using my ROH rims, I'd really really appreciate it. If you're in Qld, I'll even take you for a quick fang in my Phase III....
I was driving from Brisbane to Melbourne. Just as I was leaving Forbes on the Newell Hwy, a 19 yr old driver in a 1975 Kingswood Ute merged onto the highway straight into the left side of my vehicle. It hit me square in the side, pusshed me into the middle of the road and onto oncoming traffic. An oncoming truck had to move onto the side of the road to avoid me.
The country hillbilly redneck who hit me said he "didn't see me". Moron.
Anyway, I was ok but the car was badly damaged.
I am insured with Shannons who are fantastic. They let me choose my repairer and after the repairers assessment, they approve the repair or call it a write-off. Their assessor said they'd normally call this a write-off but due to the amount of work done to the car, they would approve the repair - despite the huge cost and time to do so.
Basically my car was re-built. The repairer said that once this sort of repair was approved by the insurer, the vehicle is pulled apart and returned to the customer better than factory.
Attached are more pics, of the damaged car as well as the repair process pics as well. I'll post the pics of my car as soon as I get a digital camera and take some.
My car's fine now...straight, clean, feels solid as ever, in fact shows less road noise. It's faster than almost anything on the streets here in this part of Brissy.....and I now want to take steps (hence this thread) to make it look like it too.
Ford_convert, if u don't mind, it would be better if you posted better pictures in the angles that you wanted them.. eg instead of the blueprint xr and your xr(damaged) you are better of getting a pic of your xr complete. It saves a lot of time for ps ppl trying to get your paint color. and also, for the front pic it would be better if u stepped back a bit and get more back ground, it makes it easier to make mods to the car and also maybe get a select couple from the front for the slits/vents that u want....
NO offense or anything but just wanted to give ya some tips
