i guess they got a new grill (3 lines like the AU2/3 XRs) saved for the series 2. (?)

wow. that's excellent work. i'm certainly hoping that that's what the BA XR ute will actually look like. actually, i'm imagining the Tickford version with a 'power bulge' on the bonnet. drool!
