Yeah, nothing wrong with those low-style intake manifolds. Especially if you feed them with an intercooled charge at 25psi, sheesh.
I don't think it is any larger then standard, just polished.
For forced induction applications I don't believe there is any advantage to be gained from the EF-AU manifold. These have the long/short path to utilise the ram-air effect of the air's own momentum. When you start forcing it in with a turbo or supercharger any N/A gain from ram-air effect becomes redundant.
I think I read somewhere that the BA XR6Turbo has the butterfly's removed (or fixed open) in it's inlet due to this.
Hmmm... that looks like a EB/D motor with an EL head... i thought the thermostat housing and power steer pump were all different on the EL's?

I reckon it's the original car's EL motor. That's an EL style single belt setup isn't it? With the usual cover removed.
It just has the EA-ED low-style intake manifold to better mate with the turbo/intercooler setup. Shorter piping!
yep, EB-D XR6 motor with a EF rocker cover i bet, you can see the T cast into the head, and the thermostat housing is from a EB, belt setup etc is too, including mandatory coolant leak.
they have taken all the wiring out of the engine bay and moved the battery too.
DAMN I LOVE THAT CAR!!!!
